It’s the first Monday of May and that makes it PhotoLyricMonday. The song this week is a favourite of mine. It’s one that just makes me smile whenever I hear it.

The photo for this one was taken inLondon on an evening walk with two wonderful friends. The blurriness was intentional as my old camera was useless at night ( I just got a Sony NEX-5N) but the bokeh effect is perfect for the lyric this week. As for editing, I boosted the saturation and added a black vignette around the edges to block out distracting elements and to bring the focus to the lights of the City. If you look in the background you’ll see ‘Big Ben‘.

As for the song that puts the lyric in PhotoLyric, it comes from Coldplay. This is a band whose music I’ve always appreciated, even if I’ve never quite fallen in love with it. However, this song comes from an album that I do love and it’s the first and only Cold Play album that I own.
