Lust for Life

One word … Awesome.
Typography Portrait
Daft Punk and Typography equal’s a whole lot of awesome. The patience and skill this took has me a bit floored … ok a lot floored. I stopped in my tracks when I first saw this and stared at it for a full 5 minutes. In it’s description the creator of this incredible piece said it took over a month and 100+ hours to complete. That’s dedication! and it was well worth it. This is breath taking.
Resolve to Inspire
I came across the To Resolve Project last month while checking out the texture tumble. I’m still returning there to look at the different designs offered up by the staggeringly creative designers that took part in the project. The To Resolve project was started by designer Chris Streger and is filled with designs that portray new year’s resolutions.
You can’t help but be inspired as you scroll through the site both by the designs and the resolutions. I know we’re already a ways into 2012 but it’s never too late to get inspired with amazing work or to make a change for the better. Check uhm out and click through to some of the designer’s websites as well for more great work.
Here’s a couple that I really loved.

I figured I’d start this little blog off with something I love and that’s BBC’s Sherlock. It’s my favourite show. Sherlock Holmes is my favourite literary character and getting to see him in today’s world is a dream come through for me. Here’s a small (literally, its A4 sized) poster that I made inspired by, A Scandal in Belgravia from Series 2 Episode 1.
The wallpaper texture used was taken from the invaluable lostandtaken.
Like the font used for “KNOW WHEN YOU ARE BEATEN”? It’s called VEVEY. Grab it from the Lost Type Co-op for something cool and different.
